Wasini View is a rare paradise, an ideal place to enjoy the tranquillity as you relax after a an amazing day out big game fishing or exploring the historical sites in Shimoni.
The spectacular sunrise and set is a treat not to be missed.
Shimoni is renowned for its past including British colonial ruins and caves which were used as holding bay for slaves. Today these protected sites form the focus of attraction for several educational field work and community-based projects.
The Camp contains only a few rooms in the main house and two tented bungalows. This ensures that it is not over crowded ensuring we attend to your every need promptly. And if you book in advance as a group we offer exclusive use of the camp, making it even more intimate for you.
There is a beautiful swimming pool, which is uniquely covered overhead by camouflage netting that allows the sun to penetrate without excessive heat.
What ever your preferences our cooks will provide a menu plan as individual as possible. The range covers traditional Swahili seafood, African dishes, BBQs and menus from around the world. Just let us know on your arrival and leave the rest to us.
In addition, the Shimoni forest, coast, and marine ecosystems are an ever-present attraction and a source for research by institutions from around the world. Such is the importance of these heritage sites that Kenya Wildlife Service’s headquarters for the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Protected Area is located in Shimoni. See: Activities
